MBBS Admission Process In India

There are many basic steps for MBBS admission in India.

1. Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, along with English.
• Minimum Marks: Typically, a minimum of 50% (40% for reserved groups) is required on the qualifying exam.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old by the end of the admission year.

2. Entrance Exams

Admissions to MBBS programs are primarily based on entrance examinations. Include Points:

• NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test):

  • NEET is the sole entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses in India.

  • It assesses knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

• State-Level Exams: Some states may conduct their own entrance tests, but NEET scores are usually accepted.

3. NEET Exam Process

• Registration: Candidates must register online for NEET through the official NTA (National Testing Agency) website.
