Best Overseas Education Consultant For MBBS in China
Last Updated: July 2026 | Verified by Overseas Medical Study Counselling Team
MBBS in China is the second-largest destination for Indian medical students globally, with over 23,000 Indian students currently enrolled. China's unique combination of world-class infrastructure, 45 MOE and NMC-approved universities, affordable fees from ₹20 to ₹40 lakhs, CSC government scholarships, and eligibility for USMLE, PLAB, and AMC global licensing exams makes it a compelling choice for NEET-qualified students seeking international medical education.
However, MBBS in China has one critical rule no other country has: only 45 specific universities approved by both the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) and NMC India are eligible for FMGE/NExT. Admission to any other Chinese university — even if it appears legitimate — will make you permanently ineligible to practice medicine in India. At Overseas Medical Study, we verify every university against the official MOE list before recommending.
Critical Warning: Several Chinese universities offer "bilingual MBBS" courses — part English, part Mandarin. These are NOT on the official MOE approved list and graduates CANNOT appear for FMGE/NExT in India. Always verify your university at nmc.org.in and the official MOE list before paying any fees.
China offers unique advantages that set it apart from every other MBBS abroad destination:
